FILMMAKING

Lisa Rysinger is a writer, a producer, and a director across multiple formats. She’s exploring storytelling in feature films, scripted and unscripted television, documentaries, new media, game design, Social Impact Entertainment (SIE), and Virtual Reality (VR/XR/360/6DoF). She is always interested in meeting fellow filmmakers, and is open to collaborations both nationally and internationally.

Lisa recently directed the drama film Italian for Dinner, which is currently in post production, through VIDE, her production company and a Screen Actors Guild signatory (SAG-AFTRA). She wrote, produced, directed, and is now editing the narrative short to showcase her versatility as a filmmaker. She has also been taking meetings with managers, agents, financiers, development executives, and other producers for her feature thriller, Dead Water.

A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Lisa is applying for funding with a major tech company for two mixed VR projects from the perspective of a nonverbal, special needs child and featuring an all female crew. Her upcoming projects include another feature thriller, the first feature in an action-adventure trilogy, two scripted and one unscripted television series, two documentaries, and an online game.

Lisa is an active member of Women in Film LA, Raindance LA, Film Independent, the Alliance of Women Directors, a lifetime member of the Digital Cinema Society, and a pioneer member of ACM/SIGGRAPH.
