Lisa Rysinger is a creative entrepreneur with a unique skill set. A pioneer in nonlinear editing, Lisa was streaming video on the Internet when it was still dial up. She was an early adopter of digital video technology and considered an expert in the field, publishing several successful nonfiction books on the topic, including one on Apple’s Final Cut Pro.

Lisa also designed college curriculums and taught undergraduate communications and graduate writing at area colleges and online. She helped countless students translate their creative visions to the screen.

Lisa also has an extensive background in all phases of production, having run her own digital media company for many years, where she created everything from DVDs and corporate training videos to TV commercials. Always a forward thinker, Lisa is also currently exploring the next frontier of storytelling- Virtual Reality (VR).

Lisa’s many years as an editor helped shape her feature film writing style, which is fast paced and highly visual. An avid world traveler and a perpetual student of life, Lisa’s brand can be described as a fresh, commercial voice that focuses on high concept stories that transcend cultures and resonate globally.

Lisa currently resides in Southern New Jersey, but travels regularly to Los Angeles for meetings, and attends industry events both nationally and internationally.

Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, & Film and a master’s degree in Writing from Rowan University, where she graduated with honors and has taught as an adjunct professor. She also conducts group lectures and seminars in communications and technology. She has been featured in numerous interviews, including articles in The Philadelphia Inquirer and The New York Times.

Her professional affiliations include Women in Film LA, Film Independent, the Digital Cinema Society, and ACM SIGGRAPH (Pioneer Member).

Lisa is also active in her community. She serves on various boards and committees, chairs fundraisers, and volunteers for several nonprofits. In addition to writing, film, and technology, she enjoys yoga, international travel, and gourmet cooking.
